Leadership Myth About Strong-Willed People.

Leadership Myth:
Strong-willed people don’t want to be led. They just want to be the leader.

NOT TRUE.

They want AND need to be led by a strong & patient leader. Leading these types of people requires some growth in our leadership capacity. You’ll need:

Vision
Patience
Confidence
Patience
Optimism
Patience
Hard Work Ethic
Oh, and you’ll need patience too!

There’s a reason why a person has to have a different skill set if they want to be promoted from a store manager to a district or regional manager. It’s one thing to lead followers. It’s quite another to lead leaders.

I recommend a book called The 360 Degree Leader by John Maxwell. It really helped me to get prepared to lead everywhere that I go. I’m not perfect at it, but I would be much further behind had I not read this book.

Thanks for reading,

Jarrell
