1. In this instance, a corrupt government finds a loophole to persecute those who speak the truth of God’s word.
2. 15:9 – “In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” When teaching, be careful not to mix in my own laws and pass them off as doctrines. This leads to vain worship.
3. Miracles bring glory to God.
4. A personal revelation of Jesus unlocks the kingdom to me.
5. It’s human nature to compartmentalize and divide. Peter tried to build three separate places for Moses, Jesus, and Elijah. Jesus embodied the law and the prophets. He made things simple.
6. Prayer and fasting is a progression of my belief in God.
